Statutory Filing Requirements
Under Section 77(2), notice of the situation of the registered office, and of any change therein, must be given to the Registrar within twenty-eight days after the date of the incorporation of the company or of the change, as the case may be. This is executed through the filing of Form VI.

Pursuant to Section 78 of the Companies Act 1994, every company must:
- Paint or affix its name on the outside of every office or place in which its business is carried on, in a conspicuous position, in letters easily legible.
- Have its name engraven in legible characters on its seal.
- Have its name mentioned in legible characters in all business letters, bill-heads, and other official publications of the company.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
Failure to comply with the requirements of Section 77 or 78 subjects the company and every officer in default to a fine for every day during which the default continues, as prescribed under the respective sections and the Schedule of Fees under the Act.
