2. LEGAL COMPLIANCE & GOVERNING LAWS

LegalBD.com operates under the laws of Bangladesh while incorporating best practices, though not bound by, regulations from Asia, the European Union (EU), and relevant U.S. legal policies. We ensure compliance with:

• The Bangladesh Bar Council Order, 1972 and related regulatory frameworks.
• Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act, 2006 and the Digital Security Act, 2018.
• Digital Business Identification (DBID) Registration: LegalBD is required to obtain a Digital Business Identification (DBID) from the Ministry of Commerce, which serves as a unique identifier for online businesses in Bangladesh.
• Data Protection and Privacy Regulations, including global best practices under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant U.S. laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
• Intellectual Property Laws, including copyright, trademark, and trade secret protections.

3. SCOPE OF SERVICES

LegalBD provides the following services through its online and offline platforms:

• Legal Consultation:
  • Direct access to in-house lawyers or partner firms for advisory services.
  • Consultation via video calls, chat, and email.
• Legal Document Drafting:
  • Contracts, agreements, policies, and compliance documentation.
• Corporate & Regulatory Compliance:
  • Business formation, tax registration, and compliance advisory.
• Litigation & Dispute Resolution:
  • Assistance in legal proceedings, mediation, and arbitration.
• Intellectual Property Services:
  • Trademark registration, copyright protection, and patent advisory.
• Vendor/Partner Lawyer Services:
  • Independent lawyers and law firms can offer their expertise through the platform.

4. CLIENT-LAWYER RELATIONSHIP

• Engaging with LegalBD does not automatically establish an attorney-client relationship.
• An attorney-client relationship is formed only after an engagement letter or agreement is signed.
• Vendor lawyers and firms act independently; LegalBD is not liable for their advice, representation, or actions.

5. PAYMENT TERMS

• All fees for consultations, document drafting, and legal services must be paid upfront.
• Payment methods include credit/debit cards, mobile banking, and other digital payment solutions.
• Refunds are subject to LegalBD’s discretion and applicable laws.

6. DATA PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY

• We adhere to GDPR, CCPA, and Bangladesh’s ICT Act for data protection.
• User data is securely stored and will not be shared without explicit consent, except as required by law.
• Communications between clients and lawyers remain confidential under applicable laws.

7. LIABILITY DISCLAIMER

• LegalBD provides legal facilitation services but does not guarantee case outcomes.
• Vendor/partner lawyers are independently responsible for their legal advice and actions.
• LegalBD is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of its services.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

• LegalBD retains copyright over website content, branding, and proprietary materials.
• Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of any material is strictly prohibited.

9. USER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Users must provide accurate information when seeking legal services.
• Misuse of services, fraudulent activities, or unethical conduct may result in termination of access.
• Users must comply with all applicable laws while using LegalBD services.

10. MODIFICATION OF TERMS
